Wire project #3

Design II Class
Objective: Create a three dimensional object that needs to be larger than scale.

Comments: So I made an attempt at recreating my headphones. I know it is difficult to see because it is so bare. Overall, I am happy with the way it turned out. I wish the earphones could have been more of its proper oval shape, and if I had more time I would have made the adjustments needed to do it.
Grade: A
Here's the right "earphone" You can see the "R", designating its side. Here's the "L" for left.

Jack Nicholson

Design I class
Objective: Find an image of a celebrity, musician, athlete, or other well-known figure that is a minimum of five inches. After image is enlarged, converted to black and white and gray-scaled, trace each section. Remember color-by-numbers? Same principle, only I'll be using WORDS instead of paint, charcoal, or ink. Here's how it started.
Grade: A!

This is the image after it has been enlarged and gray-scaled. Here I am patiently tracing every section of gray, black, and white on the light table. Tracing completed! The light colored lines are there because the original black line wouldn't show through the light table. Tracing has been transferred over to Bristol paper.

This is what I was doing on the light table.Level 10 complete... nine more to go!Mission Accomplished. Whew.... lots of work, and it's a few days late.If there was a such thing as my "favorite part" of the drawing, it would be this.

Reads "The Departed". Subliminal message of victory inserted here.

There's Jack, hanging out with Einstein, Picasso, Angelina Jolie, George Clooney, Johnny Cash, Eva Mendes, and rapper Nas. Others will include Burt Reynolds, Tom Brady, Gwenyth Paltrow, and Reese Witherspoon.

Ink Pen Drawing.

Drawing Class
Objective: Create a still life setting at home, draw and enlarge it on paper, use an entire ball point pen in the process. The drawing and empty pen are due after spring break.
Comments: I've got one week from today to have this 80% completed. We'll see about that.
Grade: B+/B

Final Comments: I don't know how to replicate wood grain, my objects are a bit too dark, and the flight on the dart isn't as round as I made it. Yes, I took out the guitar pick laying down too.

Perspective drawing

Drawing class
Objective: Draw one of the three hallways in Garwood building
Comments: I hate that couch. When I see these drawings I think of blueprints...precise, straight lines.... not some fluffy couch to ruin my work. Whatever.
Grade: A-/B+

Wire Project #2

Design II class
Objective: Create a three-dimensional design with a minimum of 100 paper clips.
Comments: It's a table, crooked vase, and a dozen flowers. Length of time? Many tedious hours of straightening paper clips for table top.
Grade: B

My art supplies
This tackle box, or as a friend of mine from work insists on calling, my "kaboodle", contains every vital tool for my three art classes. It's not big enough either.
